Matthew 9:16 I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

Hockey Chat: The game of hockey takes both aggressive work and smooth moves. To be too aggressive all the time will get you in the penalty box. Trying to be too smooth and passive all the time will just plain land you on your backside when you get into a battle. There are plays that call for the moves and plays that take extra hustle. It’s important to be ready for both.

Life Lesson: God wants us to live boldly but respectfully. There are many people out there judging us and our faith by our outward attitudes. When Jesus sent the disciples out, he made a point here of stating just that. Being full of zeal and ambition is great as long as we remember respect and courtesy. Some of us are non-confrontational but we should be confident that our faith in Christ is a bold and can be shared.
