"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
-Psalm 139:14

Athletes are like snowflakes. They come in all shapes and sizes. Many are similar in their traits and looks, but no two athletes are the same, just like snowflakes. That is what makes them so unique. Each have their qualities that, when combined with a group, can make a difference in the outcome of an event.

Do you know that God made you like a snowflake? I know what you're thinking. "Did he just call me a flake??" Well, if the shoe fits. . . Just kidding. But seriously, God made you like no other. Even twins who look identical on the outside have something that makes them different. In the Old Testament, the Psalmist writes, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made. . ." That makes us uniquely different!

Sometimes, people have a problem with not being like someone else. We all have people we admire, and we wish we could have some of their abilities or traits, but we need to be content with who God made us. He loves us as we are and wants us to be more like Him each day.

So, as far as I can tell, it's cool to be a flake--a snowflake for Christ! Be different; be unique for Him and His glory. You have abilities God gave you to use for Him. Who cares if you can't dunk, score a touchdown or hit a baseball 500 feet? You have something God gave you that He didn't give to anyone else. That is simply YOU and who He created YOU to be. Use your abilities and gifts with others to make something special for Christ!

1. Are you caught up in trying to be someone you're not?
2. Do you accept who God made you to be?
3. Today, how can you be a snowflake for Christ, uniquely different for Him?
