Start a Job. Finish a Job.

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.” -- Luke 19:10

Set

As an athlete, you condition through various seasons. You practice hard for months before your first competition. You put in endless hours of sweat and hard work to prepare your body for this one season. Now, FINISH STRONG!

Working hard and finishing jobs were priorities for my dad. He would work on a project and not stop until it was complete. The job was complete when the tools were cleaned and put away in the exact place they were found, neat and orderly. The tools and shovels were not allowed to have one speck of manure or mud on them. When I worked at a lumber yard, my boss asked my dad, “Do you have more children who work like this?” It made my dad proud to know that he raised his children to work hard.

Can you imagine Jesus coming to earth, living as He did, then running away to avoid His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane? Can you imagine Jesus never experiencing the cross?

Jesus came to earth with a mission, and He finished strong. Finish strong, and when you do, you live in a way that honors our Heavenly Father.

Go
  • Are you finishing strong or just getting by as you train and compete?
  • How about in your spiritual walk?
Overtime

“Father, thank You for showing me how to finish strong. Give me strength to give my best and focus on always finishing strong. May my efforts honor You and point others to You! Amen.”
