Live by the Sword
Ephesians 6:17 continued Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Hockey Chat: Wood, aluminum, carbon composite, fiberglass. Hockey sticks are made up of all kinds of different materials. It takes time and practice, but once you find YOUR stick, you know it and use it with confidence. You puck handle and shoot the best you can with your stick. Have you ever broke a stick and had to grab a different one quickly. Right off the bat you know it’s not going to work well. Your not use to it. It’s not yours. You have to play with it before you get comfortable using it regularly.
Life Lesson: The sword of the Spirit is a powerful weapon in everyday war against Satan. It is the Word of God. But just as with a hockey stick, you have to use it consistently. It has to become part of your daily game of life. Then it becomes more and more YOURS. You can move through you daily situations knowing what God has instructed. You can beat the Evil One top shelf every time when he tries to stop you from achieving the God’s goal for your life.
