1 Corinthians 10:11
1 Corinthians 10:11
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Hockey Lesson: The Edmonton Oilers were taking a defense-first approach to shutting down Detroit in the battle for the Western Conference. After wiping the Red Wings out, the Oilers continued their dominating defense that seemed impossible for their foes. Until they met their final opponents who’s team and coaching staff worked together to find a way to break through. To everyone’s surprise, the finals concluded on June 19, 2006 with the Carolina Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup, breaking through the D and beating the Edmonton Oilers in the final series, four games to three.
Life Lesson: Some temptations seem too great to bear. Some situations seem impossible to overcome. They seem too much to handle. That’s where the coaching staff of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit come through. Know that in all times of trials and temptations that you can overcome and win. You can find strength in Jesus who will also be the light to your path in getting through those dark times. God is there for you and you can call on him to help you find a your way. He brought you to it, He’ll help you through it.
