1 John 2:2
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Hockey Chat: Being on defense (note: not just for defenseman) means stopping the puck from going into the back of your net. Some players do whatever it takes. Players slide and dive to stop the puck. Sometimes taking those hard shots in places that they’ll be feeling long after the play moves on. The thought is to take one for the team. To stop the puck from getting to the goalie and keeping the whole team in the game. It’s an unselfish move by an individual for the benefit of the whole team.
Life Lesson: Jesus’ death was in place for our sins. He stepped in the way of the Devil’s best shot and took one for all of mankind so that we can win the game of life. He took on the pain of our sins and because of his sacrifice we can know that we all can have victory.
