God Prepared for Me

Ready

“My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in your book and planned before a single one of them began.” – Psalm 139:15-16

Set

When a team sits down to watch film before a game, the purpose is to gather as much information as possible of their opponent. The goal is to know how your opponent plays before you ever step on the field.

This preparation is critical if you want the best chance of winning the game. However, this preparation doesn’t always guarantee success. You can know all you want about a team on paper, but as soon as you step onto the field, court or mat it all changes. Maybe they learned new plays, a new maneuver or changed their defense at the last minute. There could be an injury or player substitution that changes the whole dynamic of the team. All in all, you can prepare as much as you like before the game, but this preparation doesn’t equal victory.

Before we were created and placed in this game called life, God had a plan for each day of our lives. Psalm 139 is a beautiful passage that reminds us how precious we are to God and how He has been planning our entrance into the world for a purpose He knows. How wonderful is it to know that the God of the universe, our Creator, loves us so much that He would consider how we would spend each day and give us specific talents to help us achieve what He has set us out here on earth to accomplish.

God always does His research. He prepared us to succeed through His plan before we even came into the world. We don’t have to question if the plan God has prepared for us will give us victory; we already know it will. We are guaranteed victory with God through Christ’s death.

Take a moment and be in awe of how our Creator dreamed up all you would be and saw that it was good and created you for a purpose for this earth. How excellent is His plan?

Go
  • How does it make you feel that God knows You and each of your days?
  • Can you trust that God’s plan is better than any plan we might devise for ourselves?
  • Do you believe that God sees you?
Overtime

“Lord God, You created me and know me. You gave me my talents so I can glorify You each day I am here on earth. You prepared a way for me. You studied me and gave me the best chance of success with You by my side. Help me know today that a wonderful creator wonderfully makes me. Amen.”
