Matthew 6:3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Hockey Chat: Broadcasting your pass is looking at the guy you are passing to in such a way that is so apparent that it’s where you’re going to pass to. Not only has your receiver seen your pass, but the opponents defense has as well and they have a good chance to read the play and pick it off. Quick passes and drop passes are a swift way to dish the puck off without getting picked off because your foes didn’t see it coming.
Life Lesson: Doing good should be done just for the doing and not for the expected quick reward. God sees your actions and knows your heart. There is more reward that he will give you than any man on Earth could ever give. It doesn’t matter who knows here because your Heavenly Father is always taking note and your reward is with him.
