Wondrous Deeds

Ready

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have observed and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— that life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us—” – 1 John 1:1-2

Set

In 2017, Arash Ahmadi Tifakani set the world record for balancing a soccer ball on his head. His record was an unbelievable 8 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds.

For a world record like that to be set, an audience has to be present to document this achievement. People must be willing to testify that they saw this unbelievable event occur. The audience saw Mr. Tifakani with their own eyes, and I’m sure after it was over, they were telling everyone they knew about the world record they had just witnessed.

When unbelievable events occur, our natural response is to share the experience with those around us. We are excited to be a part of history and want to share that with whoever will listen.

1 John begins with this same energy regarding our faith in Christ.

Through our faith, we have been witnesses of God’s glory in our lives. We have seen Him work miracles, break strongholds, and free us from sin. We look outside and see the wondrous creation that our God made simply with His words. We believe His son, Jesus, defeated death and rose to be seated at the Father’s right hand. These and countless other “unbelievable” acts we have witnessed as Christians.

Are you excited to share these fantastic wonders that you have seen? As impressive as balancing a soccer ball on your head for 8 hours might be, the details of our faith in Jesus are the most wondrous sight ever to behold.

  • What would you say if someone asked you what it was like to witness how God works?
  • Are you excited to tell others about your faith?
  • What has God done that leaves you in awe?
Overtime

“Lord, we come before You now, awe-struck at everything You do. From creation to daily forgiveness, You continue to blow our minds with who You are. Help ignite a fire inside us where we are eager to tell others about your wondrous daily deeds. Amen.”
