The FOUR: Sin Separates You

Ready

"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard." -- Romans 3:23

Set

You cannot experience God's love when you ignore Him. People search everywhere for meaning and fulfillment—but not with God. They don’t trust God and ignore His ways. The Bible calls this sin.

Everyone has sinned. Sin damages your relationships with other people and with God. It keeps us from experiencing the fulfilling life that God intends for us. The result: you are eternally separated from God and the life He planned for you.

Everyone experiences consequences for their actions. When you skip practice on a whim, you may get benched or get less playing time. When you get in a screaming match with the referee or official, you may receive a penalty or get thrown out of a game. Negative actions create a pay-off that not only damages yourself but your teammates, coaches, and people around you. When you act out in sin, everything is negatively impacted in result. When we fail to recognize this sin and repent against it, our walk with God is impaired.

The bad news: we all sin and fall short of God’s standard because we’re imperfect humans. The good news: we can be forgiven through God’s unwavering grace and love. Trust God and His perfect plan for your life!
