The Weight of the Cross
Key Verse:
He will see [it] out of His anguish, and He will be satisfied with His knowledge. My righteous servant will justify many, and He will carry their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:11
- As you watched all the injustice in the world, what parts hit you the hardest?
- What areas of this clip are you guilty of in your life?
- You may not have done horrible acts as mentioned in the clip, but your weight of sin is added to the weight of the cross. What is your initial response to Christ carrying your weight of sin?
- Read Isaiah 53:11. Jesus cared for all and carried all the pain of the world. In our world today, why do we struggle with being compassionate and helping other?
- What burdens can you help others in your life carry?
- You will never be asked to carry the weight of the sin of the world on your shoulders, but you can make a difference in the life of a friend. What friend needs your help right now?
- Take a moment and thank Jesus for the cross. Thank Him for giving His life up for you. It is in that power of the cross that you can be a son or daughter of God. That alone is worthy of all your praise.
