Like Christ

"I know your works. Because you have limited strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name, look, I have placed before you an open door that no one is able to close."

-Revelation 3:8

Last week I felt as if there was nothing God was doing in my life. I had felt Him so strongly in the weeks before--He had been doing great things in my life. But then it felt like these blessings came to a screeching halt.
Have you ever felt that way? During those times we must realize that just because life stops and completely turns upside down, we ourselves can't stop and allow ourselves to doubt and think "It's over, I can't do this anymore." Christ never did that. In fact, He cannot do that because He is God. While we are only human, we are being made like Christ on the inside. When we accepted Him as our personal Savior, God changed us and we were reborn spiritually. And each and every day, if we have invited Him to be the Lord of our lives, He will change us to be able to reflect Jesus and to live as He lived.

As children of God today, we have certain tasks: to show others who God is; to not dwell on our past or worry about the future; to live in obedience to Him in the present; to praise God through our lives; and to follow the plan He has in store for us. Our reward is great if we keep our faith strong and our eyes ready to receive the gifts God has in store for us.

1. Is there anything too impossible for God?
2. According to Scripture, will God ever abandon you?

3. Will He ever give you something in your life that He knows you can't handle?
